FRUITS SOAKING
Bengali's celebrate Christmas in the same sprite they celebrate durga pooja . No Christmas is completed with out fruit cake or plume cake. For making fruit cake firsts tape is to make fruits soak or cake mix.Like durga pooja many people get together for making cake mix .
Fruits soak is made with different type of dried fruits, nuts and alcohol or fruit juice.as all of the ingredients are bit expensive, generally people come together and make it in a group. After making the distribute the mix between themselves. Many people give it to poor as it is known to be good luck.
Fruits soak is generally keep for 30-40 days in a dark place.


INGREDIENTS 
100 gm Cherry
100 gm Date
100 gm Raisin
100 gm Trutti-fruitti
100 gm Sultana
80 gm Orange peel candy
80 gm Ginger candy
80 gm alcohol or fruit juice


HOW TO MAKE
1. First cut all the ingredients into small pieces.
2. Then, add all the dried fruits and nuts into a glass container.
3. After that, add alcohol or fruits juices.
4. Lastly, shake all the ingredients well and keep it in a dark place at list for 20 days.
