BENGALI THOR GHONTO RECIPE | HOW TO MAKE BANANA STEM FRY
Thor ghonto or banana stem fry is a traditional Bengali cuisine. It is a light vegetable that you can cook both vegetation and non-vegetation way. Banana stem has it's very rich nutrition value. It is rich in potassium, vitamin B6 and fiber. It improves the ability of the body to fight infraction. It is a very quick recipe you can make into your busy schedule.
INGREDIENTS
1 Banana stem
1 Potato
1 Eggplants (medium size)
2 Chopped onion
1/2 tsp chopped garlic
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp cumin past/powder
1 tsp panch phoron
2 Bay leaves
4 tsp oil
salt as per taste
HOW TO CLEAN AND PREPARE
1. At first remove the outer layer. then,cut round pieces.
2. After that, remove it's hairs as much as possible.
3. at last cut into small pieces.
4. add turmeric and salt and give it a resat for a while.
HOW TO MAKE
Step:1
Take a pan and heat oil until the smoking point. Add panch phoron,bay leaves and green chili. After that add chopped garlic and onion. Add chopped potato and eggplant. Then, add banana stem. Then, add salt,turmeric and chili powder. Cover it and let it cook.
Step:2
Open the cover and check if it is cook. make sure it is not stick to pan surface. add cumin powder. saute until it get soft and it will take yellows brown color.
